Sports Medicine




Sports Medicine is a branch of medicine that specializes in the prevention and treatment of injuries resulting from training for and participation in athletic events. Among the most common sports injuries are shin splints, runner’s knee, pulled hamstring muscles, Achilles tendonitis, and ankle sprain.

Batesville Therapy Clinic provides treatment of Sports Related Injury by providing services of a Certified Athletic Trainer. The ATC is duly certified to perform athletic training under the supervision of a physician or physical therapist. The ATC applies principles, methods, and procedures for managing athletic injuries and provides instruction to coaches, parents, medical personnel, and communities in the area of care and prevention such injury.

In support of Local High School Athletics, we provide a Staff Athletic Trainer on site to assist with the prevention, evaluation, management, and rehabilitation of injuries. We have a caring and experienced rehabilitation team ready to assist area athletes and coaches in specific tailored treatment that will allow the athlete to return to normal activity as rapidly as possible.
